Final turnout numbers aren’t official yet, and could grow a little between now and the end of official ballot canvassing on Nov. 15.

The voters who didn’t show up this year: Democrats.

As of the last voter registration report prior to the election, on Nov. 1, Democrats held a slight registration edge – 9,200 voters – over Republicans statewide.

In 2020, a total of 529,621 ballots were cast by Democrats. In 2024, Democrats cast only 485,390 votes.
