You may have heard that there’s a presidential election coming in November.
But Maine voters will be casting ballots for far more than the names at the top of the ticket. Between ballot questions, a high profile congressional race and every seat in the Maine Legislature being decided, there’s a lot to keep track of.
That’s why Maine Morning Star has put together a 2024 Voter Guide to provide a comprehensive resource designed to empower readers with the information they need to cast their ballots.
In addition to details about candidates and referendum questions, the guide includes basic information about how to register, all the different ways you can vote as well as important deadlines.
We’ve asked every candidate running for the two U.S. House races and one U.S. Senate seat their thoughts and policy ideas for some of the biggest issues facing the state and will be sharing their complete responses.
In the coming days, we’ll also be adding more details about key legislative races we are watching.
Maine has historically led when it comes to voter turnout and Maine Morning Star’s goal is to make sure every voting age person has the information they need to confidently contribute to our democratic process.
