The Democratic National Committee on Sunday will fly a plane banner over the Eagles game at Lincoln Financial Field to reach voters and football fans in the largest city in the most important battleground state. The flyover is set to begin shortly after noon and last until kickoff.

The banner will read “Go Birds! Beat Trump! Vote Kamala!” and is the latest flyover of a Pennsylvania football game by the DNC.

“Democrats aren’t fumbling the ball at the goal line – we’re reaching every voter we possibly can in the final hours before Election Day,” DNC deputy communications director Abhi Rahman said in a statement. “Pennsylvania is a critical blue wall state that puts us on a path to victory and Philadelphia is a major driver of Democratic success in the state. The DNC knows that Eagles fans and residents across the city will turn out in numbers to reject Donald Trump and his Project 2025 agenda once more.”

Both parties have used sporting events to reach swing state voters. Last weekend, former President Donald Trump’s campaign ran  a television ad during the third quarter of the Eagles game titled “Never Quit,” focused on Trump’s economic record and  some familiar themes from his campaign. Other than footage of Trump being shot at during a July rally in Butler, and pumping his fist at the crowd while saying “fight, fight, fight,” there was not much Pennsylvania-specific about the two-minute spot.

Harris’ campaign also had TV ads running during the Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers games last weekend. One  titled “Philly vs. Trump,” included footage of Trump saying “Bad things happen in Philadelphia” during a 2020 debate. The ad during the Steelers’ Monday night game was titled  “Yinzer,” featuring a man named Chris who describes himself as a diehard Steelers fan. “Donald Trump does not care about the working man whatsoever. He’s a little rich kid too, he ain’t me,” Chris says in the ad.

Democrats have used billboards and airplane flyovers at Pennsylvania sporting events to taunt Trump ahead of various appearances in Pennsylvania and other swing states; when he attended a recent Steelers game in Pittsburgh, the Democratic National Committee posted a billboard across from Acrisure Stadium bashing Trump for his economic record.
