Idaho insurance officials are offering a Medicare workshop on May 28 in Pocatello.

The event by the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors, an Idaho Department of Insurance unit, runs from 4-6 p.m. at the Marshall Public Library, 113 S. Garfield in Pocatello, according to a news release.

The release said the workshop is designed for caregivers, people approaching Medicare eligibility or turning age 65, and anyone who wants to learn how Medicare works.

The workshop will feature presentations on Medicare vocabulary and introductions to Medicare’s parts. That includes timeframes to enroll in Medicare, how Medicare’s different parts do and don’t work together, as well as enrollment periods for Medigap, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans.
