Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will appear at a campaign rally for the Harris/Walz presidential ticket and other Florida Democrats down the ballot on Saturday morning in Tampa, the Harris campaign announced Wednesday.
Clinton was already scheduled to be in Tampa to appear later in the afternoon at the Straz Performing Arts Center to discuss her recently published book, “Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love and Liberty.” The event was rescheduled from an earlier date on Oct. 15.
Unlike her husband Bill Clinton and former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton has not gone on the campaign trail this fall for Kamala Harris, who is attempting to do what Ms. Clinton was unable to do in 2016 — become America’s first female president.
Ms. Clinton has headlined several fundraisers for Harris, but her highest-profile appearance for the vice president was her prime-time speech at the Democratic National Convention in August.
She recorded a video in support of Harris last week. “Kamala is the right person for this time in our country,” she says in the video. “She has the character, experience, and vision to be our next president.”
