Why Should Delaware Care?
A handful of events are aiming to make voting more accessible for Delawareans, encouraging turnout less than a week before the 2024 presidential election. Transportation is often one of the biggest impediments to voters getting to the polls.
Delaware is less than a week away from the Nov. 5 presidential election, which will also decide the gubernatorial contests and races for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives for Delawareans.
Early voting locations are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sunday, Nov. 3. Find a list of early voting locations in your county here.
First State voters turned out en masse on Oct. 25, the first day of early voting in the state. Long lines were typical at early voting sites across the state as voters mirrored the national trends of strong early voting turnout.
As of Wednesday, more than 137,000 residents had already cast their ballots in the election, either through in-person early voting or absentee ballots, according to the University of Florida Election Lab that is tracking voter data nationwide.
Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 5.
