The state’s lobbying organization for more than 170 Hoosier hospitals will have a new president in time for the 2025 legislative session: Scott Tittle, who previously held other health care leadership positions both within state government and as part of industry associations.
The Indiana Hospital Association’s board of directors’ Tuesday announcement marks the end of former hospital administrator Blake Dye’s tenure as interim president. Former president Brian Tabor stepped down earlier this year.

“We’re excited to welcome Scott who brings extensive experience in association leadership and health care advocacy, with a deep understanding of the policies that shape our industry,” said Steve Holman, chair of the IHA Board of Directors and president and CEO of Union Health, in a statement. “By tapping into Scott’s passion for connecting with people and strengthening partnerships, IHA will continue to be a powerful force in improving the health of Hoosiers.”
Tittle’s first day will be Nov. 25.
He previously worked as a managing director for VIUM Capital, an Ohio-based financial services firm for long-term care and senior housing lending, according to a release.
Prior to that position, Tittle was the executive director of the National Center for Assisted Living and president of the Indiana Health Care Association/Indiana Center for Assisted Living.
“I have great respect for all that IHA has achieved through its advocacy and patient safety initiatives, which has helped more Hoosiers get access to the care they need,” said Tittle in the release. “I look forward to advancing the mission of IHA even further by providing leadership and support in a collaborative way so Indiana hospitals can focus on what they do best – delivering affordable, high-quality care.”
Under the administration of former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, Tittle served as special counsel and the health care policy director. He had also worked as an attorney with the Krieg DeVault LLP law firm.
Tittle received his bachelor’s degree in English and political science from Vanderbilt University. His law degree is from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
Tittle’s selection comes as the General Assembly seeks to tackle various health care proposals, including the potential restructuring of the provider tax on hospitals. Gubernatorial candidates have also targeted high health care costs for reform.
