Idaho’s legal community is hosting a week of free clinics aimed at providing legal services to low-income or at-risk individuals.

Pro Bono Week is taking place Oct. 20- 26, and it serves to “honor the work of those who provide volunteer legal services, to address the need for civil legal assistance on matters of profound urgency, and to remind all attorneys of their responsibility to assist in meeting the legal profession’s sacred commitment to equal justice under the law,” according to a resolution issued by the Idaho Pro Bono Commission.

The Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program is organizing the events, according to a press release from the Idaho Supreme Court. The clinics are in Meridian and Boise, and exact location details are available upon registering. Interested participants will be asked for income information to confirm eligibility.
