Why Should Delaware Care?
Voter participation directly impacts the future of Delaware’s policy, leaders and communities. With the 2024 general election approaching, which will include the presidential race, it is essential for all eligible voters to have a say in the state and nation’s leadership and policies.

As Delaware’s general election approaches, new voters have until Saturday, Oct. 12, to register themselves to ensure they’re eligible to participate in this upcoming election.

Any registered voter may vote in the general election regardless of their political party affiliation.

As of Oct. 1, there are 786,577 registered voters in the state, with 353,212 registered as Democrats and 206,770 registered as Republicans.

The general election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5, with early voting available between Friday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Nov. 3.
