Vermont State Police have arrested a suspect following a “suspicious death” in Enosburgh.

Police late Friday morning announced the arrest of Jordan Lawyer, 29, of Enosburgh, after earlier calling for the public’s help in locating him.

Police received a call at about 8:45 a.m. Friday about a disturbance at a home on Route 108, according to a state police press release.

“Responding personnel located one individual deceased outside the home. A second person was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment,” police said.

Before Lawyer was arrested, police said he had been reported to be driving a black Jeep in Bakersfield.

Police did not release the names of the victims and said the investigation was in its “earliest stages.” No further details were available as of midday.
