The lawsuit filed last month alleged that the Secretary of State’s move violated the U. S. Constitution and federal law, including the National Voter Registration Act, the Voting Rights Act and 14th Amendment.

Last week, the Department of Justice filed a separate lawsuit, alleging that the purge violated federal law, specifically that the purge took place too close to the federal election under the National Voter Registration Act. Manasco consolidated the cases.
