The Idaho Commission on the Arts announced it is awarding $758,581 in grants to 96 organizations, schools and school districts across 32 communities statewide.

The grants help provide access to Idaho’s cultural heritage and enhance creative learning throughout the state.

The Idaho Commission on the Arts is the official state agency for the support and development of the arts in Idaho. The commission promotes excellence, education in the arts, access to the arts, and community investment in the arts.

Grant recipients will match their grants with locally raised funds, according to a press release from the Idaho Commission on the Arts.

“Arts Idaho is honored to support these schools, organizations, and educators who bring vibrance and character to communities across Idaho,” said Executive Director Laura Curry. “The arts enrich our quality of life and serve as a powerful economic driver, with an estimated annual impact of $61.3 million. We are thankful to (Gov. Brad) Little and the Idaho Legislature for recognizing that investing in the arts is investing in the health and vitality of our state.”
